As Per, Who the Hell Knows?!

Ms. Bhutto was put into the ground in such a quick amount of time, without a complete investigation. As mentioned in the previous posting, I wouldn't put it past anyone at this point. There has now been several different versions of what the injuries were and who committed this act. What do we know for sure? We will never know the whole truth.

WTF About Peace?

Why is it that every person who motivates the masses towards any peaceful cause has to be assassinated? Fucking A this angers me. To those NOT in the know: Pakistani's former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto was assasssinated Thursday by a suicide bomber who shot her and then set himself off, killing another 22(?) people along with him.
What a pathetic piece of garbage! How can you kill someone who is a wife and mother? How can you even think about killing someone whose message has been attempting to work with opposing sides, no matter the fact that side she is attempting to make peace with was actually HOLDING HER HUSBAND IN JAIL AT THE TIME. All those leaders/peace activists in the past who we have lost MLK, JFK, Lennon, etc. we now need to add Bhutto to the list.
So, immediately when I heard this news my mind went to the why's and how's of the Bush Crime Family's involvement. Who do you think was involved and why?
Sad, pathetic day for the human race.

Update Regarding Product Safety

As mentioned in one of my previous blogs, I signed a petition regarding the poisoning of Americans by China. Here was a reply I received:

"Thank you for contacting me about your concern for the safety of products imported to the United States. I appreciate hearing from you on this important issue.

I agree with you that the recent influx of unsafe items from China is alarming, and that we need to examine our system of screening imports. You will be pleased to know that Congress has already taken significant action in this regard.

On November 1, Representative Bobby Rush of Illinois introduced H.R. 4040, the Consumer Product Safety Modernization Act. The bill deals with the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), the independent agency responsible for the safety of some 15,000 consumer products in the United States. Specifically, the legislation would strengthen the CPSC's safety standards and review processes and provide increased funding for general operations and for renovation of its testing laboratory.

On November 6, the House Energy and Commerce Committee's Subcommittee on Commerce, Trade, and Consumer Protection held a hearing to discuss the bill. As part of the hearing, the Subcommittee heard testimony from representatives from the CPSC, toy companies, manufacturers associations, health organizations, and consumer groups. The Subcommittee specifically addressed lead standards and third-party testing for products aimed at children under 12 and also took up the question of restricting CPSC officials from accepting gifts or travel expenses from companies or other regulatory organizations.

H.R. 4040 was reported out of Subcommittee for consideration by the full Energy and Commerce Committee on November 15, 2007. While I am not a member of this committee, I will continue to monitor its progress on this issue.

You may be interested to know that I am a cosponsor of H.Res.819, a resolution calling for the resignation of Consumer Product Safety Commission Chairwoman Nancy Nord. Chairwoman Nord has been insufficiently diligent in protecting consumers from unsafe products and has been obstructive of Congress' efforts to do so. H.Res.819 is currently pending before the House Energy and Commerce Committee.

Please be assured that should H.R. 4040, H.Res.819 or any related legislation come to the floor of the House for a vote, I will keep your concerns in mind.

Again, thank you for sharing your thoughts with me. Please feel free to contact me again should you have any additional questions, comments, or concerns.

Sincerely,

Harry E. Mitchell
Member of Congress"

So, we'll have to see what comes of this. Knowing the corruption and ineptitude of this congress I am sure nothing will come of it, as usual.

Where's My Wife?

When I was young, my dad worked and my mom was a mom. Everyday when I come home from work, I say to myself: "where's my wife?" When I look at the pile of laundry growing and growing, when I look at all that needs to be done, and I haven't the time or energy, I say "where's my wife?"
FOR THOSE OF YOU LUCKY ENOUGH TO HAVE ONE: THANK HER. I would kill to have one, no matter the cost. Oh, and knowing that nowadays it means actually that she does work too--you better either help a shitload or get some big diamonds for her-or both.
P.S. You didn't misread: I am a woman, and not a lesbian, either.

Waitress Stories/Tonight's TOD

OK, folks. Gather around the fire. Momma is gonna tell ya a waitress tale. So, tonight's story is about my poor co-worker who fell and hurt herself this evening-and how my fellow humans either rose or sunk in my eyes after their response to this event this evening.
I was the manager this evening-I do it part time. One of my servers fell after she slipped on something wet that was on the floor. She fell hard and hurt herself. She did this in the beginning of the very busy time of the night with a full section of tables. I was short staffed as usual, as my company is cheap and likes to make me want to pull my hair out. (Most of the time, I wonder to myself "is tonight going to be the night I walk out?") I should have had at least 2 more people on for the amount of business we had, and that is PRIOR to losing this server. I also (as mentioned previously) am sick, and since we are short staffed on managers and since my boss is out of town and my other boss TURNED HIS CELL PHONE OFF to not be bothered, I had to go in to work. I also started my period today. Not a good thing to the gentlemen in the audience. I am running on empty: tired, in pain, and really crabby.
OK, so I had to take care of this server's section and also her medical needs and my company's protocol ALL AT ONCE. Let's just say people had to wait a long time for service. Once I could get to her tables, I had to explain to the guests what happened. Some were SO wonderful. "No problem!" one said, "Don't even worry about it!" another said. Some were mediocre "oh, well now that you mentioned that...." Some were just moronic. Tonight's story is about one of them. They are the most fun, no?
So, since my previous post was about this impending doom of a holiday that I am forced to deal with, let's just say that everyone around this time of the year pretends to be a good person and treats others the way they OUGHT to year round. So, I was very shocked when I told people of the poor waitress who was in the back of the restaurant curled up in a ball of pain on the phone with the "Dial a Nurse" that corporate America now forces us to call prior to going to the Dr. or anything else.
Tonight's TOD (Table of Doom):
I had a table with several children and adults, and one VERY VERY OBESE woman. She was busy killing herself right in front of her young children with cream, cheese, and every other horrifying thing she could suck into her mouth. Extra sauce on this, extra sauce on that. I was actually poisoning someone in front of her children. It was sickening.
So, this table had been waiting for some things. Their server was maxed out on tables due to us being 3 people short of what we needed. However, these were the type of people that had the balls to speak to me- in my manager's outfit- with nothing but respect and kindness and then yelled at my server with contempt and hatred. The minute I walked away to get something and heard the way they spoke to the server-my attitude changed IMMEDIATELY about this table. FUCK THEM. That is what went through my head.
My poor server said "I don't want to deal with them anymore." I said, "I understand; I've got them." It was ugly. No matter how much ass I kissed, they simply weren't happy. I even took some items off of the check for their trouble, but they still screwed the server out of a decent tip.
These people actually had the balls to relocate 3 times before they decided on an appropriate table. THEY MADE A TABLE OF PEOPLE MOVE BECAUSE THIS WOMAN WAS SO LARGE SHE COULDN'T SIT JUST ANYWHERE.
So, to the table of 3 women and their 3 children: coffee is not that big of a deal when you think about someone's elbow swelling up in the back of the restaurant. And if you ask me for extra sauce again-I will tell you what your family doesn't have the balls to: NO. Stop killing yourself and making your children (toddlers, no less) early orphans.
So, that was the Cliff's Notes version as I feel like shit and need to go to bed. But, it was a TOD fo' sho'. For those wondering about my server who fell: she went home early. She is someone who is a tough cookie, and should have gone to the hospital-on a stretcher. She won't even go to a Dr. I am sure.

Double Trouble

Well, not only am I as sick as can be, but my computer decided to be at the same time. So, this will be short and sweet-the way some of my fans seem to like it.
What is the deal with all the "Merry Christmas" people lately? Why is it that people assume EVERYONE celebrates this holiday? Perhaps I should be running around shouting "Happy Kwanzaa!?" "Happy Channukah" or "Happy Day of the Spirits." It has now become months of annoying nonchristians (or anyone who enjoys a variety of music) with months of the same damn Christmas music! Stop wishing me a Merry Christmas and I promise not to wish you a Happy Cat Day.

Wanna pee your pants just a little?

While doing a search online for the word "pizza" (it was time to order a pizza for dinner and wanted to see what choices there were) this was on the google first page:

http://www.aclu.org/pizza/

If after that you still don't see a problem, you are not as smart as my 12 year old. Something to think about.

Poisoned Toys, Poisoned People

I recently signed a petition to "Keep Hazardous Toys Off Our Shelves" it is located here, please sign yourself: http://www.thepetitionsite.com/takeaction/137188815
Here was my response in the "personalize this message area" of the petition:
This country has become so obsessesed with paying the least possible for goods that we allow children in third world countries to work in deplorable conditions with no protections for them to make toys for our children-both being poisoned. (I wonder which country's child got the longest exposure.) Meanwhile, big business is the only winner. Oh, and all the corrupt politicians that take their cut as well. STOP ALLOWING GOODS TO NOT BE SEVERELY, COMPLETELY, AND THOROUGHLY SEARCHED, CHECKED AND MADE SURE THEY ARE SAFE FOR OUR COUNTRY TO IMPORT-BEFORE, DURING AND AFTER THEY ARE ON OUR SOIL! Poisoning children. It is unreal how low business criminals will go-money means everything, no matter who gets killed or sickened. Disgraceful. As a matter of fact, manufacturing goods should be made here by Americans again. Where have all of our manufacturing jobs gone? I know I am not making a living wage-there are hardly any union jobs (or jobs in general actually), which is the only way for the worker to be protected in our society. Get it together and stop living comfortably and safely off the socialist position you hold, while the rest of us suffer! The fact that we are being poisoned by China in both products (pet foods-toys) and what they are doing to the environment to me means that they cannot be trusted anymore and those jobs need to come home. If those jobs were brought back here-we could regulate this MUCH better. PLEASE HELP US! This holiday, I had no toys that I felt safe enough to buy my children, so I bought other items instead. Imagine being so fearful of what is on the shelf-there is not one toy under the tree this year! Get it together, please.

P.S. (This is our little secret-I don't have a tree! LOL) But, you get the point.

Bloggers to Unite in Acts of Kindness!!

So, here is my posting for the Bloggers Unite in Acts of Kindness Day. The idea folks, was that all bloggers unite today and post our ideas or causes for an "Act of Kindness" today.
My idea was to post as many different causes that I care about so that you could choose at least one to make a donation to. I thought further about it. Why not instead of the normal toxic lead poisoned toys/crappy gift card (that is still sitting at the bottom of my purse a whole year later because I DON'T SHOP AT THAT STORE, GRANDMA!) give the gift of caring about others. AND DONATE IT IN THE NAME OF SOMEONE YOU LOVE THIS HOLIDAY!!! So, inside your Christmas Card to the person, write your donation information to one of the causes mentioned below IN THEIR HONOR.
I have had many members of my family die from various forms of cancer. I support personally starving AIDS babies in Africa. I thought about the Crisis in Darfur. What about our Climate Crises? Mental Illness, I could go on and on, literally. So, I am adding many links in hopes you would be participating in the Bloggers Unite Cause for the LRWB's Blogpage.

NOW, ALTHOUGH THIS WAS MEANT TO BE A ONE DAY EVENT, I WILL BE LEAVING THIS BLOG ENTRY UP FOR GOOD SO THAT YOU CAN ALWAYS RETURN, NOT JUST FOR THE HOLIDAY SEASON, BUT THROUGHOUT THE YEAR FOR BIRTHDAYS AND MORE:

Please donate whatever, or as much as, you can to the cause of YOUR choice:

**American Cancer Society:
http://www.cancer.org/docroot/don/don_0.asp?from=hpbox

**Feed the Children/Frances Jones Abandoned Baby Center
(AIDS babies in Africa-I signed up for a monthly donation about a year ago-you can do as little as $9/mo. to feed and care for one baby in the center)
http://www.feedthechildren.org/site/PageServer?pagename=abc_homepage

**Crisis in Darfur/ Save Darfur.Org:
https://donate.savedarfur.org/08/actnow_splash

**Climate Crisis:
http://www.climatecrisiscoalition.org/

**The Carter Center (They do multiple causes):
http://www.cartercenter.org/donate/index.html

**Depression and Bipolar Alliance:
http://www.dbsalliance.org/site/PageServer?pagename=donate_donateonline

**TMJ Association [this is actually one of the 2 chronic pain conditions that I suffer from] Please look into what this condition is at The TMJ Association:
http://www.tmj.org/contributions.asp

**One other cause that is personal to me is the National Fibromyalgia Association:
http://www.fmaware.org/site/PageServer?pagename=about_donate

If there is a missing charity that you would like to add, please do so by leaving a comment.

Thank you for your kindness!! May you love yourself, your neighbors, and your planet even more tomorrow than you already do today.

My feet hurt-damnit!

Had a super busy night tonight, actually all weekend. My feet are killing me. I can't feel my legs. I soaked in a hot tub. It helped until I got out. Damn already! This sucks. I am laying on a heating pad, but will need to go to the Dr. this week. One of the things that you miss out on, being a patron only, is that many servers get physical stress in some way or another by what we do. So, many of us either go to a chiropractor, a masseusse, or both. So, time for a massage and an adjustment for me. I did very well financially this weekend, which is good, being that I have a bunch of bills coming up. How was your weekend? I hope it was good.

Added some new elements

This summary is not available. Please click here to view the post.

Had to go around the world to get next door...

I found while searching on the internet the French press. I know for a fact that other country's media is not as corrupt as ours (being that I watch Spanish news often), and so I found it very interesting to see what was being reported-and luckily they had an English version. (I speak Spanish, not French.)
So, long story short, I was immediately interested in a link that said something about UC Berkeley--being that this was coming from EUROPE! So, it turns out that UC Berkeley has been webcasting several of their courses, (I believe for a year or so now--not that this was reported anywhere in my town that I saw) FOR FREE ON YOUTUBE. I was in heaven. I love school. I love learning, hated homework, but loved lecture. So, I went to the website and found that UC Berkeley is offering several courses for viewing, one of which I watched the first class of this evening (instead of dicking around with the losers in CL RNR tonight-what a rough group this evening! Why do men get so sensitive and have to flag everything they disagree with???).

So, here is my assignment to those interested in learning: check it out. Here is the link to the story about it: http://afp.google.com/article/ALeqM5hX2Di45xZmjMTWyZOeARMpVudmdw
Here is the link to the class I will be taking over the next few weeks. If you are interested in doing so with me, please post a comment, and we can have discussions of sorts of what is being taught.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H4F8kJchX4I

This is the first day of the course titled: PACS 164A: Introduction to Nonviolence
It sounded strange to me at first, but after listening through the first day-it sounded very interesting after all. So, if you are interested, PLEASE send in a comment.
Have a good one.

More Disgusting Stories....

of corruption in what Mike Malloy terms the "Bush Crime Family." This story deals with Halliburton and the lawlessness of those who work there. They are able to do whatever they want, as it is truly a "wild west" mentality going on:

"Jamie Leigh Jones was a 20-year-old woman working in Iraq for a subsidiary of Halliburton when she was drugged and brutally gang-raped by several co-workers.
The next day, Halliburton told her that if she left Iraq to get medical treatment, she could lose her job.
Jamie's story gets even more horrific: For the last two years, she's been asking the US government to hold the perpetrators accountable. But the men who raped her may never be brought to justice because Halliburton and other contractors in Iraq aren't subject to US or Iraqi laws. They can't be tried for a crime in any court."

This was sent to me in an email from MoveOn.org's political action. Please sign up to receive their political actions via email and be up to date on what goes on right underneath our noses., at http://www.moveon.org/
Thanks for your support.

Was thinking at work tonight....

what if there were no Mexicans allowed to work here? (Not sure how many I work with are legal vs. illegal, so I will just say Mexican-which is really the main issue most Arizonans have with them-their skin color.)
Imagine really what would happen for a moment. Who would work their jobs? Would you really be able to do what a dishwasher does, or a busser? WOULD YOU WANT TO? How about construction, gardening, etc.? I really think we are forgetting also how many companies do not pay a true minimum wage to those they know are illegal. So, if the people who want them out have their way-are they prepared to pay more? Are they prepared to do those jobs? I think it would be laughable to see a white American do the work they do. One Mexican can run circles around an American. We have become pussies. So, just today's thought-how would America be different if somehow the law was fulfilled 100%?
I think we would be paying more for everything, and those jobs they do now, would have to pay SIGNIFICANTLY more to have anyone here willing to do it. It is menial, hard labor. What do you think?

Short and Sweet

Bush is a scumbag. He is a lowlife pig. He once again vetoed the SCHIP program. He had the balls to say that he worried that people would dump their private health insurance for the government's program. Are you even kidding me??????? Who is he supposed to be working for? The PEOPLE or the INSURANCE COMPANIES? These people have to qualify to be under a certain dollar amount per year of earnings. Unreal. This guy doesn't care about children. He doesn't care about anyone but himself. Sickening.
In addition, when I went to research this, I happened upon website after website of mainstream media putting their "spin" on this news. Over and over again. Why can't they simply report the news in a neutral way? It is nauseating to see what has become of our news organizations, just disgusting.

Warning: Waitress Posting!

To the people who sat at my table on Saturday night/others who need to know this:

If you think that although there were about a dozen open tables to fit the 3 of you, it was OK to sit at a table for 5-6 people in a restaurant of that size that has only ONE large table-YOU ARE SADLY MISTAKEN!! Not to mention the fact that you then had the balls to have us remove one of the tables out of the way. Are you for real? Do you come into a friends/strangers home and have them move the furniture around to suit your needs? You have GOT to be kidding me!
Here's a tip to them, and everyone else who doesn't know this: when you are being taken to a particular table in a restaurant it is for a reason, they want to rotate service between the servers so that they make similar earnings-but more so that you do not have to wait longer because another server got sat more than one table at a time!
Also, you have a limit on the amount of time that you should be sitting in my area on a busy night. If there is a line of people at the door waiting to get in, DO NOT SIT THERE AND TALK ALL FUCKING NIGHT LONG! And to the table on Sat: PARTICULARLY WHEN YOU STOLE THE ONLY LARGE SEATING IN THE HOUSE! And if for some reason you simply MUST take up extra time after you should be done eating (ladies this is usually you gabbing all night long-sometimes it is people who haven't seen each other in a long time also): you need to realize that my table is like a taxi-when there is traffic/no movement of the taxi-the fare changes. So, if you take the amount of time it would have taken another table after you to come and eat-you now need to tip double as you just stole from me that income. Even if you stayed for half that time, leave 50% more of a tip due to the time you took away from me seating others there. If you camp out, you cost me income if you don't tip extra. It is OK to sit longer--as long as you pay for it. Think about it this way: many restaurants only allow the server to have a particular amount of tables. So, even if there are other tables open-that server isn't able to use them to make money. So, apply the extra tip rule always.
Also, Tipping is NOT a city in China, folks. It is something that must occur for us to survive- particularly in states that allow for sub minimum wage earnings. In Arizona, we are now paid $3.75/hour. (This was after a raise that occurred thanks to voters-after decades of $2.13/hour.) This is barely enough to pay for the taxes we owe, and sometimes it isn't enough to do so. Also, for servers who are lucky enough to have employers that offer health insurance, the coinsurance needs to come out of that money. So, essentially most servers have a pitiful check-if any. We literally live on our tips.
So, here is a guide to tipping: real simple actually, if you enjoyed yourselves-tip 20% of the total bill. If you didn't, tip 15%. If you had a horrible experience, at least leave 8% as that is what the server MUST pay taxes on. Call it a wash for both of you. If you had exceptional service: tip exceptionally-leave 50% or more if you can. The people that can and do do this not only get good Karma, but they are the ones that allow for the extras for the single moms. It is you people that have allowed us to get our kid that thing he or she wanted that we would have never been able to afford otherwise.
Guide for those who want to tip easily: take total bill (with taxes folks) and round it to the nearest $5, then take the first 1,2 or 3 digits based on how big the bill is and multiply it by 2. Ex: if the bill is 38.50- round it to 40, take the 4 and multiply it by 2=$8. If it is 138.50- round it to 140 take the 14 and multiply it by 2=$28. If the bill is 39, round it to 40, take the 4 and multiply it by 2=$8. Never round down, unless you are super close, as in 36, you can round to 35, then multiple 3.5 times 2=$7. Hope this helps.
Thanks for opening your minds.

We Are Screwed--Time to Grow Your Own

U.S. Trade Agenda
The United States is working to open markets globally in the Doha WTO negotiations; regionally through the APEC forum and the Free Trade Area of the Americas (FTAA) negotiations; and bilaterally with FTAs. Since 2001, FTAs with Australia, Chile, Jordan, Morocco and Singapore have entered into force. The Bush Administration has also concluded negotiations with Bahrain, Costa Rica, the Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, Oman, Peru and now Colombia. Negotiations are under way or about to begin with ten more countries: Ecuador, the Republic of Korea, Panama, the five nations of the Southern African Customs Union (SACU), Thailand, and the United Arab Emirates. http://www.ustr.gov/Document_Library/Press_Releases/2006/February/United_States_Colombia_Conclude_Free_Trade_Agreement.html

(The above link is written by someone pro-free trade and their agenda is not to be mistaken.) Now, this is a .gov site that describes its goals in terms of EXPORTS only and no import data. This is scary. They are basically trying to play us for fools. Without that data, the export data is meaningless. We are basically going to ship all of our jobs away to every point on earth. We will be producing nothing very soon. In addition, because we now import nearly everything, including food, we are at the mercy of other governments to control quality and safety. As we have seen recently with both the pet food poisoning that killed nearly 40,000 US pets, and also with the China toy scandal where lead paint was used on toys imported into the USA, we are now in serious physical and financial danger.
Due to the Bush administration's lack of controlling what comes in by properly funding the agency's that are to examine and test these imports, we are now playing Russian roulette with our lives. Not only that, but none of this is understood or reported en masse, and therefore the public at large is not in the know. If you have a business that will be affected by having to compete with how cheaply labor is in other nations and or the fact that many countries provide free health care-something we do not-does this make you think twice about your Republicans in office? Please, please do not vote for them. I swear we are going to be dealing with our own version of a Great Depression unless we repeal this behavior. Mark my words. Without a democrat in office that isn't corruptable by big money, it will be criminal business as usual folks. Just watch your government take and take and take from you.

According to Global Citizens Trade Watch report: http://www.citizen.org/documents/FoodSafetyReportFINAL.pdf
Most imported foods that end up on our plates are unexamined and untested: 11% of imported proteins, such as beef, chicken and pork, and less than 2% of seafood. Meanwhile, nearly all of the seafood we obtain is now imported. Also, it is usually just VISUALLY checked. It all makes me ill. This is a recipe for serious food borne illnesses and deaths. There is too much info to post here, so please make sure to read the link provided. I don't normally ask you to do so, as I try to get all the important data for you, but this one is ALL important and I don't want to infringe on their rights. It has much more information including just how far these political criminals will go to line their pockets by big business. It sickens me to no end. Perhaps it is time for us all to start our own gardens? If I had a piece of land to grow on, I would be doing so NOW. Add this little tidbit if you still aren't convinced: the implementation of a federal law passed in 2002 requiring country-of-origin labeling on beef, pork, lamb, fresh fruits and vegetables, seafood and peanuts has been delayed time and time again by intense industry lobbying. (Data taken from above link)

What will be another posting for another time, but very related to this one is the radioactive materials that will be recycled into consumer products. This predatory capitalism is being unchecked. Will it ever end? Please vote for Kucinich. He is our only hope. Here is the link for some information about what I will discuss next time: http://www.nirs.org/factsheets/radrecycleupdate3-01.htm

Time for bed. I may update this posting tomorrow. There was not much ranting or bitchiness tonight, more like fact city. Can't all be piss and vinegar, now can it? Especially when I am half asleep.
Kisses, LRWB

USA, Torturer

"The director of the Central Intelligence Agency, General Michael Hayden, briefed members of Congress Tuesday about the CIA's decision to destroy videotapes of terror suspect interrogations. His appearance on Capitol Hill comes as a former CIA officer says interrogators had used the simulated drowning technique known as waterboarding, which he believes amounts to torture."
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/main.jhtml?xml=/news/2007/12/11/wcia111.xml

"The prisoner is bound to an inclined board, feet raised and head slightly below the feet. Cellophane is wrapped over the prisoner's face and water is poured over him. Unavoidably, the gag reflex kicks in and a terrifying fear of drowning leads to almost instant pleas to bring the treatment to a halt. According to the sources, CIA officers who subjected themselves to the water boarding technique lasted an average of 14 seconds before caving in. They said al Qaeda's toughest prisoner, Khalid Sheik Mohammed, won the admiration of interrogators when he was able to last between two and two-and-a-half minutes before begging to confess. 'The person believes they [sic] are being killed, and as such, it really amounts to a mock execution, which is illegal under international law,' said John Sifton of Human Rights Watch."
[Take a look at the list on ABC News, it is much more than just waterboarding]:
http://abcnews.go.com/Blotter/Investigation/story?id=1322866

Hmmmmmmmmm, ya think?????
So, don't you think then that if someone is DEMANDING you admit to doing a crime, ANY crime, you would admit to it, whether or not it is true just to make it end? This technique is solely for the sickos in Washington/sickos in the military to get a woody. There is no real use for this. If these people were to be tried, how could the admissions be allowed under these circumstances? It is just for shits and giggles for the sick.
When did we become the ones who torture? This is so appalling!! If you are able to catch a glimpse of a tape that was shown this week on TV, (must have been some other time we tortured someone since the ones they are speaking of were destroyed) maybe it is also on YouTube by now-- it is unbelievable. I do not understand how one person can do something like this to another. Much less someone who represents the country that USED TO be the one that helped those who were being tortured. I want war crimes trials. It will be time for Nuremberg trials after we take the White House back.

One good thing: no statute of limitations for war crimes. Get ready to take it up the ass AGAIN Bush. You hypocrite. For those NOT in the know check out this website: http://www.leolamcconnell.com/
She gave it to him, and him, if you get my drift.

"Academy Award-winning actress Nicole Kidman has reportedly been receiving death threats for her role in the controversial film The Golden Compass.
The film is based on a novel by British novelist Philip Pullman. It has been boycotted by Roman Catholic groups who believe the movie promotes atheism.
Reports have surfaced that aside from Kidman, her co-star Daniel Craig has also been receiving threats.
"The amount of hate mail has been unbelievable. There have been death threats. Most of the backlash has been aimed at Pullman but even the cast has had their fair share of abuse," says a source.
The current James Bond title holder defends the movie and the book and says they are not promoting atheism.
"I think the majority of people criticizing it haven't read it. These books are not anti-religious. Mainly they're anti-misuse of power - religious or political," Craig says."

It never ends, does it? Why are people not allowed to have an opinion anymore? Even if this movie was PROATHEISTIC, what is wrong with that? It is just another group of people in our society. You religious nutballs are really pathetic. Oh, and by the way, why do you think HUMANS came up with the concept? CONTROL.

To my fans/ HR 6

If you have recently sent me an email, thanks. I am sorry I haven't been able to respond, as I need to get a new email account going, so that if some moron from CL wants to do something bad with it, it is not an account I care about. So, I will get on that and post it online here. Meanwhile, if you want to get in touch, you can leave a "comment" and it will come to me.

My feet hurt. I hate my job. I think I will be looking for a new place to work at because the people I work with are truly retarded, the money isn't nearly good enough, and I am tired of my fucked up schedule.

OK politics. There is something going through congress now:

On Thursday the House passed H.R. 6, a bill containing major energy reform. The bill raises fuel efficiency standards, requiring that cars average 35 miles per gallon by the year 2020. This is the first increase in efficiency standards in over 30 years. The bill also mandates that a certain amount of the electricity produced by utilities come from renewable sources. It includes tax incentives for ethanol and new standards for light bulbs.
One of the more contentious provisions is a repeal of $13.5 billion in tax breaks for oil companies. Some Republicans have expressed objections to the repeal, and hope that it can be taken out when the bill goes to the Senate.
The Senate cloture vote on the energy bill failed Friday, meaning it will not be voted on in the Senate in its current form. A revised version could face a cloture vote later this week.

So, that is new. We'll need to see what happens with that. Do I even need to say what I think? We needed these energy standards at least a decade ago. And the billions given away in CORPORATE WELFARE to the oil companies who just made MORE MONEY THAN ANY OTHER INDUSTRY OR COMPANY ON EARTH EVER, should NEVER have occurred to begin with.

So, since we have been dealing with Repuglican crap for years now, no doubt that will be removed prior to passing. Scumbags. I have had about enough of that shit. It is unbelievable to me the absolute corruption that is going on. If we had public financing of campaigns and got private money out of the elections, we wouldn't have to worry about our politicians giving a reciprocal hand job to special interests. Someday?

New Links/Resources Added and YouTube

I just added a lot of "resources" for other websites to get similar information. It is located towards the bottom of the page. Also, I added some YouTube clips regarding my current pick for President, Dennis Kucinich. It is also towards the bottom of the page, please enjoy. Lastly, I had to add my beloved Olivier Martinez to the site, for without him, it is merely a webpage, is it not? Talk about hot!! Olivier, you out there? I am riiiight here, waiting.
Meow.

Participatory American?

Are you a PARTICIPATORY American? Do you allow life to happen to you? (If you are on the right-this is probably you, but lefties, let's work harder to pick up the slack left behind by corporate media.)
I had someone send me an email regarding where I found the data for the posting regarding Ron Paul. This was my response:

http://projects.washingtonpost.com/congress/members/p000583/

This could also be found on Congress' own website as well. You can (and should) sign up to receive regular emails of the voting record of your representatives. I get mine regularly. Why? I am a PARTICIPATORY AMERICAN. I DON'T ALLOW MEDIA TO TELL ME TO SIT DOWN AND SHUT UP. And you shouldn't either. If you aren't your own reporter nowadays-you get the ridiculous "entertainment" that somehow passes for journalism. PATHETIC. I partly started this blog to give out the truth. It took me some time to track down the info, and make it user friendly for my posting regarding Ron Paul. I want to help those who have either little time, or skills to do so themselves. I want to be the blog you come to when you need the facts. This is the USA Truth Journalism/Comedy/Ranting Place. I love you all for being a bit smarter than before you used your mouse.

Truth is the Best Weapon/It's Just Too Damn Easy--Ron Paul's Voting Record

Here is your candidate folks:
Protecting Our Children Comes First Act of 2007 - Amends the Missing Children's Assistance Act to reauthorize through FY2013, and revise requirements for uses of, the annual grant to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children by the Administrator of the Office of Juvenile Justice and Deliquency Prevention.
Result: Passed, 408-3, with 20 not voting.
Ron Paul's Vote: NO, why? He wants no government whatsoever. Including the parts of government that help find missing children. Nice work there, buddy.

Securing Adolescents From Exploitation-Online Act of 2007 or the SAFE Act of 2007 - Amends the federal criminal code to expand the reporting requirements of electronic communication and remote computing service providers (service providers) with respect to violations of child sexual exploitation and pornography laws. Requires such service providers, in reporting violations of such laws to the CyberTipline of the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (Center) to provide: (1) information on the Internet identity of a suspected sex offender, including the electronic mail address, website address, uniform resource locator, or other identifying information; (2) the time child pornography was uploaded or discovered; (3) geographic location information for the offender; and (4) images of such child pornography. Requires the Center to forward each report which it receives from a service provider to a designated law enforcement agency. Requires service providers to preserve images of child pornography for evidentiary purposes. Authorizes the Center to provide images of child pornography reported to its CyberTipline to service providers to enable such providers to stop further transmissions of of pornographic images. Grants service providers and the Center immunity from civil claims or criminal charges for complying the requirements of this Act, except for certain intentional or reckless misconduct.
Result: Passed, 409-2, with 20 not voting.
Mr. Paul? NO. It's just too easy folks. This guy is a real piece of shit.

H R 1495 Vote description: Water Resources Development Act To provide for the conservation and development of water and related resources, to authorize the Secretary of the Army to construct various projects for improvements to rivers and harbors of the United States, and for other purposes.
Result: Passed, 361-54, with 17 not voting.
Ron Paul: NO So, if you want some drinking water in your future, you better buy a piece of land with a bigass aquifer because Paul is NOT a Republican, but rather a TOTAL LIBERTARIAN, WHICH MEANS HE DOESN'T WANT ANY GOVERNMENT. I find this amusing. Someone wanting to be in charge of something that won't exist if he has his way. So, again, if you want water, bridges, etc. you have to take care of that yourself. Real nice nominee.

H R 2095: Federal Railroad Safety Improvement Act To amend title 49, United States Code, to prevent railroad fatalities, injuries, and hazardous materials releases, to authorize the Federal Railroad Safety Administration, and for other purposes.
Result: Passed, 377-38, with 16 not voting.
Once again: Paul NO. He doesn't care about you. He only cares about himself. Getting it yet?

Now the above voting record is just an example. These votes occurred since 10/07!! Imagine how many times this man has said no to you and your children! This also doesn't include the times he didn't bother voting at all.

Ron Paul has missed 290 votes (25.6%) during the current Congress.

When I went to check how many he has missed in total, it went on for pages and pages. Not sure what is worse, someone who doesn't do their job, or someone who does it so poorly you wish they didn't show up.

The above examples were the votes that he went against BOTH party lines, as they were united as those bills were THAT FUCKING OBVIOUS. So, go ahead, idiots. Vote for a guy who lies about his party affiliation to get votes, who doesn't vote 1/4 of the time, and when he does, it is against your best interests. I'm not going to waste my vote on someone crazy, thank you very much. LRWB

Mitt Romney

On the local RNR section, there was someone posting about this loser all day long. Here was my response:

Mitt Romney is such a winner...

that he never served nor has ANY of his FIVE, count them, FIVE SONS during a time of war---and a shortage of soldiers. Good job. What a great American! He is really sacraficing! Not to mention he then has the balls to say that his kids are helping in his campaign which is ALSO SERVING THEIR COUNTRY. His balls are so big, it's amazing he can fit them into his pants. What a pathetic piece of trash!! If you just HAVE to vote Republican (although I can't imagine why you would) please pick someone slightly less full of shit, will ya? Oh, and let me know who that would be, as they are all full of shit in their own special ways. Have a swell day. LRWB

Welcome to the Liberal Ranting Waitress Bitch's Rant Page

Welcome all. I had in the past been posting my brilliance online on Rant and Raves on CL in Phoenix. I decided to add them to a blog, since I started getting fan email. I will start posting what I posted there later on. Meanwhile, I will start posting a (as often as I can) daily blog of thoughts of the world. I usually discuss my job, or industry; my political beliefs-liberal-and my dislike for people in general. (Which usually also includes members of my own family.) So, sit back, relax, and enjoy. Oh, and do not be offended when the post often is geared towards the right wingers. I know it is my loyal lefties reading. It is just more fun for me (and helps turn up the volume of anger) to speak to one of those dumbasses.
Love and kisses,
